The Cusack Screamer is the first real innovation in the 'Screamer' market. The pedigree is that of the classic Tube Screamer Overdrive... but that's where the similarity ends. The Cusack Screamer's 'clean' overdrive offers about twice the gain of a typical Tube Screamer, with so much more clarity and transparency.
In reality this means you can:
- Put the gain to zero and the volume to 10, and use it as a clean boost to push the front of your amp.
- Add controllable amounts of drive to get varying tones while retaining all natural character of your amp. You can actually hear the individual notes of complex chords that would normally be buried.
- Wind it all the way out for a big, harmonically rich, articulate screamer on steroids lead tone!.
- And after all this, it won't suck or compress your original tone.
Hey, what's that toggle switch for for?
Well, that's the Clip Selector, which allows you to select either the Standard, Crushed, or Assymetrical LED clipping!
Why is there an LED above the NEW Clip Selector?
That's the all new LED Clip-O-Meter! That's right boys and girls, you can now SEE your guitar clipping! What's more, if you drive it hard with another pedal, you can use it as a "strobe tuner". Just hit your 5th fret, and the next open, just as you would tune by ear. When the Clip-O-Meter stops blinking, you are in tune!
