Premium Quality Alder Strat® Replacement Body finished in Candy Apple Red.
Body Wood:
Alder is the most popularly used Fender body wood, dating back to the late 1950's. Alder produces a thicker midrange tone. It is very full in the lower midrange, but still produces enough upper midrange to be clear and articulate.
Candy Apple Red Finish:
Even though Candy Apple Red Metallic did not appear until 1963, it became one of the more popular custom colors of the 1960s.
As well as the colour, the term "candy apple" also describes the finishing process, which features a base coat of silver sparkle oversprayed with a transparent finish color. The result is a rich, deep finish that seems to come alive as light hits it from different angles.
